Why do Poplar Grove Farm Spreads taste so amazingly fresh?

We work hard to make our products taste just like you picked the berries this morning.

Does Poplar Grove Farm sell other products?

We distribute organic potatoes and onions to retailers under the Poplar Grove Farm brand. If you make the trip to our hometown of Winkler, Manitoba make sure you visit our very own Potato Store.

Do you make a seedless spread?

Currently, there are no seedless products in our raspberry ‘family’. When we expand our offerings we are considering seedless options.

How long will the spreads last after I bring them home?

Our products have no preservatives and therefore carry a ‘Best if used Before’ date. The date is 3 months from date of manufacture and can be found on the bottom of your jar. Since raspberries are slightly acidic the opportunity for the growth of harmful bacteria is minimized. The most likely occurrence in the weeks following the best before date is that some fermentation will begin to occur.

What are the different ways the spreads can be used?

We have formulated our recipe to give great flexibility of use. You will find it is thicker when it first comes out of the fridge. As it nears room temperature it will flow more easily. Remember not to leave it out all day as it is a fresh product.

• It works well as a spread on your favorite baked product. Try it on toast or fresh croissants! Use it to flavor plain yogurt. Great taste and only 4 ingredients.
• Sweet desserts like ice cream receive our topping well since it is not overly sweet.
• Pancakes have never tasted so great or looked so good. A dollop of whipped cream, anyone?
• Baking recipes calling for any form of fruit compote work well with our spread.
• More than once, young and old alike have been found removing the jar contents with nothing more than a spoon and several times not even that!
